Cringleford & Hethersett Flower Club
We are a friendly group affiliated to the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies (NAFAS) who meet on a regular basis to enjoy and learn about flowers and flower arranging. We also learn a lot about plants and shrubs and their use in arrangements. Our club was founded over 30 years ago in Cringleford and has flourished ever since. We have exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show, the Malvern Hills Show, the Norfolk Show and have participated in many flower festivals in both local churches and the two Norwich Cathedrals.
We have a membership of about 50 women of all ages (men are most welcome too!). We generally meet on the fourth Monday of the month ( Bank Holidays permitting) at Hethersett Village Hall, Back Lane, Hethersett at 7.30 pm where we watch a demonstrator. This may be a speaker, a NAFAS qualified local person or a NAFAS National Demonstrator and their flower arrangements are raffled off at the end of the evening - these make lovely prizes. We also have a workshop evening when we learn new skills at all levels and have a go ourselves - these are usually great fun!
We have no meeting in August or December and we hold our AGM followed by supper in March.
Our membership for the full year is £25.00 and we welcome visitors at a cost of £5.00 per meeting including coffee or tea and biscuits which are served after the meeting.
