Cringleford & Hethersett Flower Club

We are a large group who meet on a regular basis to enjoy and learn about flowers and flower arranging. We also learn a lot about plants and shrubs and their use in flower arranging. Our club was founded over thirty years ago and has flourished ever since. We have exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show, the Malvern Hills Show, the Norfolk Show and have participated in many flower festivals in local churches and both the Norwich Cathedrals.

We have a membership of about 70 women of all ages at present (men are most welcome too). We meet on the fourth Monday of the month at Hethersett Village Hall (Back Lane, Hethersett) at 7.30 pm where we watch a demonstrator, who may be a qualified local person or a National Demonstrator from some distance away. The demonstrator's flower arrangements are raffled off at the end of the evening. We also have at least one outing per year and we have practise nights where we learn new skills at all levels - these are usually great fun.

We have no meeting in August and each January we hold our AGM followed by supper and some light entertainment.

Our membership for the full year is £20.00 and we welcome visitors at a cost of £4.00 per meeting.

The remainder of our programme for 2007 is:

June 23

David Wright from Tunstead with 'My Secret Garden'

July 28 Wendy Munion from Maldon with 'Stitches in Time'
September 22 Eleanor Howard from Norwich with 'A few of my favourite things'
October 27

Brenda Tubbs from Attleborough with 'Wagons Roll'

November 24 Our big Christmas meeting  (Open Meeting)   ---   tickets available to all.   Michael Bowyer , a National Demonstrator from Salisbury Wilts, will arrange 'Flowers for Christmas'
