Round House Park
No decisions have yet been made on the next phase of development and work will not start this Spring as originally expected. Debate continues over the number of new homes with the Developers seeking 1065 instead of the original 750.
However, it may now be possible to include a sheltered housing scheme with single storey dwellings which was the major request from the recent Village survey and plan. With changes in legislation it also looks possible that we will have a single village school for all of Cringleford.
The Cringleford Parish Council have asked for an environmental impact assesment to be produced before any planning application is agreed.
Cringleford Football Club is looking for a new sponsor
The club, about to enter its fifth season, (Aug 2008) and is currently looking for a new sponsor for the new season. The club had been sponsored by local estate agent Elliots to the tune of £1500 each year. Sadly, and unexpectedly, Elliots recently went into liquidation – leaving us without a sponsor as the start of the new season fast approaches. At present the club has around 80 members, aged five and above, who both regularly train and compete in local leagues. There are obviously expenses to meet, from the hire of pitches to buying the various kits and all things in between. We would love to hear from anyone who might like to sponsor us in any shape or form. It is a friendly club, committed to all children taking part, having fun and enjoying the beautiful game. Please contact our chair Ailie Beckett at ailiebeckett@btinternet.com if you think we can help. We have a high profile in the world of youth football in Norfolk, our teams do well and we are good at promoting ourselves – and our sponsor!
We are also always keen to see new faces and train most Saturdays at Cringleford Recreation Ground. August is a month off for many of the teams but Saturday, September 6 sees us all back in action. Come along and meet the players, coaches and committee members. Chair - Ailie Beckett
cringleford .com recognises the contribution the football club makes to the Village and will publicise any sponsorship. We receive 600 visitors each month with the football pages being the most frequently visited. See our existing football pages as an example of the publicity that Elliots received,
