Cringleford to Celebrate Queens Diamond Jubilee
Cringleford parish council has plans to celebrate the Jubilee but needs your help If any individual or organisation is able to sponsor events, lend equipment or give their time they should contact Anne Barnes, the Parish Clerk on 01603 250198 . Full details here
A highlight of the festivities will be a village flower festival to be hosted by St Peter's Church, one of the many activities they are organising. The festival will run daily (11am to 4pm) from 3rd-5th June. . Villagers are welcome to be involved. This could be done in a number of ways e.g. sponsoring a display, setting up a display advertising your club . The aim of the event is to raise money for the Air Ambulance, the Church and its hall and also to celebrate the Queen's reign. If you would like to be involved contact Juliet Godier at the Parish Office: 01603 259138

Cringleford Memorial Stones
In 2011 whilst work was carried out in the St Peter's Church chancel some memorial slabs were uncovered. One of our parishioners kindly offered to do some research on the memorial stones to try and uncover who they were and why they were buried in the chancel. To read the full report click here

Do you have a donkey?
Members of St Peter's Church will be walking around Round House Park carrying a cross on Palm Sunday. They will meet other groups at the Green to say prayers and sing their way to church. Heather, the vicar, is looking for a friendly donkey to lead the procession. If you can help please contact her on 01603 458467 or vicarage.cringleford@btinternet.com
St Peter's Church Hall needs 21 new wIndows and 2 new doors
The hall plays an important part in community life and hiring income barely covers basic running costs so virtually all improvements have to come from voluntary help. It is therefore hoped that the cost of this exercise can be mainly covered through donations and sponsorship. Each window will cost £300. If you are able to sponsor a window or would like more details contact either John Canham (01603 505357) or the Church Office (01603 259138)
Update on the new Community Centre
The developers, Kier Homes Ltd and Bovis Homes Ltd, are required to build a Community Centre to the value of £875,000 and hand it over to the Parish Council by 28th June 2013. The Parish Council have been working on the plans and have estimated that the hall will cost in the region of £1,280,000. The shortfall will be made up by a loan from the Public Works' Loans' Board.
